Leading auction house in New York City is seeking an experienced, energetic and motivated Sales Account Manager with 3+ years of sales and account management experience to join our team. This role is an in-house position and is responsible for growing the client base for our B2B auction platform. We seek sales and account managers who will communicate with clients and offer them products that add value to their business and increase their profits. While you must be able to close sales, we are not looking for hard sellers but rather people who care about our customers and are dedicated to building relationships with them.


Duties:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business by proactively seeking opportunities to grow the accounts and expand the business. Identify and develop a strong understanding of client's core objectives and challenges to provide the optimal solutions
  • Leverage established relationships with client's key decision makers to maximize revenue potential
  • Cultivate new accounts and develop new business by identifying, qualifying, and calling prospective client lists
  • Manage the full sales cycle, guiding deals to close from initial outreach to onboarding
  • Maintain weekly sales forecasts and achieve quota as defined by management
  • Present Rapaport’s solutions using value-based sales approaches and techniques
  • Manage sales activity on Salesforce
  • Research and develop lists of potential customers; regularly follow-up on leads and developing leads, and act to close deals
  • Call company networks and databases
  • Follow up on division marketing initiatives
  • Actively participate in all sales meetings
  • Maintain account database and client compliance
  • Analyze customer data
  • Work closely with both internal and international teams on developing client accounts and auction preparation
  • Provide exceptional service to our clients

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven sales track record
  • Strong negotiating skills, business acumen and strategic-planning skills
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and solve problems quickly
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities
  • Knowledge of diamonds and the diamond industry a plus
